First, an apology: I'm sorry this has taken so long, but things in the Big Blue Box have been CRAP lately.
And now, on with our story:
It started out simply enough: Windows was SO past due for a nuke & pave, and thanks to a friend of mine with a VLA from Microsoft, I had a few options.
I decided on Server 2012 for a few reasons:
Because this is, after all, my life.
( Cut for those without a rat's ass to give... )
I'm still contemplating explosives though....

I decided on Server 2012 for a few reasons:
- As someone who doesn't reboot until he absolutely has to, the theoretical stability benefits of a server-grade OS are a good thing
- I need an appropriate sandbox to work on stuff for $pico-job, and remote SUCKS for that.
- S2012 has a nifty feature which helps in the battle of ever-increasing storage space needs: de-duplication. (This will be important later!)
- It's built on the same tech as Windows 8, except IT HAS A FREAKING START BUTTON (at least on R2, which was the option in question)
Because this is, after all, my life.
